Marley ready to KO the pro game





Churcher has recovered from a shoulder problem that kept him out of the ring for more than 18 months and now he is ra ring to go and has set his sights on claiming the British light heavyweight title.
“I can’t wait to get in there,” he said. “Within 18 months I want to be challenging for the British title, ” he said. “First of all I want the Southern Area title, then work up to the English and my maim aim will be to fight for the British title and then see where it goes from there.”
Churcher is being trained by Ricky Maslin, who steered Michael Sprott on his way to becoming British heavyweight champion while top promoter Mickey Helliett will also be handling his matches.
“This is something I’ve been thinking about for a few years but I thought it’s about time now,” said Churcher, who had 53 amateur bouts. “But this is a lot different to the amateur game and it’s taken a good year to adapt.”
