Jayda Cole performed well in her competitions as she finished third, which included a third place finish in both the vault and beam and a first place win on the floor.

Fiona Karlsson, who has faced many obstacles these past weeks, came out fighting and gained some much-needed experience for Nationals in a couple of weeks.

In the 9-10-year-old category, Lily Weston finished second after a third place finishing in the floor and vault and a win in the bars.

Sienna Neal was crowned southern region champion for eight-year-olds, while Lottie Longhurst and Josie Chambers between them picked up three, second-place finishes.

A special mention must go to Ariana Bradley, who came fourth, and Amelia Brooke-Taylor, who came fifth overall in the eight-year-old category.

Michaela Whitton, who is head of artistic, said: “It’s been a difficult 18 months, but you guys smashed it these past two weekends and we are beyond proud of you.”
