National credits for cross country runners

Team Kennet’s Sam Hart claimed the best local placing when finishing 22nd in the under 13 boys’ race, 42 seconds behind the winner while Newbury AC’s Samuel Wright was 193rd.
Newbury AC sisters Charlotte and Annabel Clover claimed top 100 placings when representing the club in the championhsips for the first time.
Charlotte shone in the under 15 girls race to finish 35th of 355 while Annabel was 94th of 211 in the under women’s race in which Team Kennet’s Yasmin Ryder was Berkshire’s leading finisher in 48th place.
Nathan Gillis led Team Kennet’s representatives in the under 17 men’s event to finish 51st ahead of Callum O'Neill in 97th and Oliver Overend 238th.
Newbury’s Alex Muir showed he is returning to form when placed 126th of the 1657 athletes in the senior men’s 12km race with Dave Wright 945th, Chris Hobson 1089th and Andy Tuttle 1271st.
