HELLENIC LEAGUE: Kalejaiye hat-trick hammers Chinnor: Lambourn suffer two more close defeats

NEWBURY warmed up for their FA Cup trip to Sholing by making it five out of five for the season so far with a comfortable Hellenic League Division One East win on Saturday.

They were two goals up inside 11 minutes and were never in trouble, Craig Hill and Jeff Kalejaiye hitting the target.

Kalejaiye went on to complete his hat-trick with Kalief Madden completing the tally as Newbury tucked in behind early leaders Chalfont Wasps, who are a point clear but have played an extra game.

Wasps got their by beating Lambourn Sports 3-2 on Saturday, a Ryan Martindale hat-trick beating a Sports side that twice came from behind through Dave Stroud and Danny Langford.

Lambourn also lost 3-2 at Letcombe in midweek with Langford and Stroud again on target.
