New role for retired champion

Racing trust benefits from McCoy's experience and reputation

AP McCoy has been appointed a Trustee of the Sir Peter O'Sullevan Charitable Trust.

The Trust, now in its 19th year, has raised more than £4 million for animal welfare charities and Sir Peter welcomed the appointment of the recently retired champion to the trust.
“AP's commitment is a notable honour for the trust, which has benefitted enormously from the support of his long-time boss and friend, J P McManus, since its establishment in 1997,” he said.
“I am delighted to help promote Sir Peter's Trust,” said McCoy, “and I hope I make as good use of my retirement years as Sir Peter has of his."
