Penalty shoot-out gives Newbury Senior Cup success at the Madejski Stadium

NEWBURY ended their season in wining sytle by claiming the Rewading Senior Cup after a shoot-out victory over Flackwell Heath on Wednesdday night.

Newbury held the Hellenic League Premier Division side to 0-0 over the 90 minutes, but were on target from 12 yards as they lifted the trophy at the Madejski Stadium.

Lambourn Sports also have another trophy on their agenda. They travel to lowly Harwell Village on Saturday, needing a single point to wrap up the North Berks League Division One title.
