Racing abandoned at Newbury

Newbury Racecourse's BetVictor Christmas Raceday, scheduled to take place this Wednesday, December 14, has been abandoned.

With the cold spell set to continue this week and temperatures forecast to reach at least -4, the decision was made to cancel the planned festive meeting.

Racegoers with pre-booked tickets can expect to receive information relating to transfers and refunds this afternoon.

Newbury's final meeting of 2022, Coral Challow Hurdle Day, is scheduled to take place on New Year's Eve with a seven race card featuring the Grade One Coral Challow Novices' Hurdle.
