Not yet! Hungerford kept waiting by late leveller

A LAST-gasp equaliser denied Hungerford the three points that would have sealed their end of season promotion play-off spot.
It was two minutes into stoppage time when Paulton's Craig Loxton left Chay Morris stranded with a 25-yard volley that flew home, leaving Hungerford still needing one more point from their final two games to be sure of entering the final run-in.
Hungerford had been given the flying start of a goal after only two miknutes when Reece Fleet poucned ot score after Kyle Phillips had saved from Scott Davis.
A Diak John corner was nudged onto the bar, although Rovers' Adam Mahdi and James Billing hit the woodwork in one frenzied spell at the other end before Ben Osman levelled the scores with a curling free kick around the wall.
But Hungerford were given a double boost before the interval when Paulton defender Lee Davidson handled on the line to keep out a Mark Draycott header, and he was sent off while Draycott converted from the penalty spot.
But it was the 10 men who scored next from another Osman free kick, seven minutes after the re-start only for Hungerford to stage a furious assault that appeared to have settled it when substitute Sam Hamilton nodded home.
It looked as if Hungerford could relax a little for those final two games until Loxton struck to leave them facing potentially testing times at Bideford next week and then at home to leading rivals North Leigh on April 28.
