Old Boys offer school second chance

The ONA chose to bat first and were at first limited to eight runs off four overs until Ben Myers struck five boundaries in his 40 off 46 balls before retiring with Tom Herrington adding a quick 12 as the ONA reached 101-3.
The school side lost early and important wickets when replying and were 41-7 after seven overs.
Sharif Admadzai made 21 at a run a ball as he attempted to get the innings back on track, but the School’s challenge ended when he was bowled by Dave Winchcombe and they were all out for 82 in the 17th over.
But the school was then allowed to field their 12th man and they reached the target in the 20 overs.

The Old Newburians team was: Left to right, back row: Dave Winchcombe, Tom Herrington, Ben Myers, Adam Kite, Josh Winfield, Jack Davis. Front: Adam Osmond, Bradley Montague-Fowley, David Barlow, Matt Ormrod, Sam Trumper
