Newbury Road Club prepares to welcome new cyclists for group ride on Sunday

The days may be getting shorter but cycling keeps going and autumn can be the best time of year.

Crisp, sunny days, in the best of the local countryside with fellow riders – it doesn’t get better and Newbury Road Club is inviting cyclists to join one of its regular group rides.

It’s an open invitation – just turn up at Newbury Market Place at 8.50am, ready to ride at 9.00am on Sunday, October 3.

The event is in response to a 2021 boom in cycling and for the club, which has seen a doubling of its membership in the last 12 months.

The Club is now offering more group rides than ever with weekend, midweek, evening, women’s and training rides – all with routes carefully graded and planned by experienced cyclists.

On Sunday, the focus is on fun as well as fitness, and riders will explore new routes in a similar paced group with the chance to meet new riders over a coffee.

So, whether you’re a beginner or a regular rider, you can ‘Gear Up for Autumn Gold’ with Newbury Road Club and beat the Winter blues.
