THATCHAM will travel to current Sydenhams Wessex League leaders Moneyfields in the second round of the Buildbase FA Vase following Monday's draw.

Town will make the trip to take on their former Wessex rivals on Saturday, November 12, the Portsmouth club having come into the competition at this stage.

Saturday saw them go down to a single goal at home to lowly Hamworthy in a league game, while Thatcham were coming from behind to win 3-1 at Hellenic League Abingdon United in their first round Vase tie.

They trailed after only 11 minutes when Sam Wharton latched on to Lewis Leonetti’s pack pass to score, but debutant Lewis Brownhill hammered them back on terms midway through the half and Town took control and their place in the next round with two second half goals from James Tennant.
