Punters unite in Newbury challenge

Company challenge to log up the winning bets at Newbury races

AMATEUR racing tipsters have the chance to prove their prescience by taking part in Newbury Racecourse's summer Corporate Tipster Challenge.

Backed by the Tote, local businesses can enter teams in a competiton to win one of three free £250 totepool bets and raceday hospitality at Newbury on Friday, July 15, the opening day of the Dubai Summer Festival.

The free competition requires team of up to four to pick a ‘win' and ‘each way' tip from two races taking place at Newbury fixtures up to Friday, July 8.

The three teams with the most profitable tips will take part in the final in the Hennessy restaurant and will be able to keep any winnings they make.

Last year's compettion was won by Inchcape Ford from Wokingham, who walked away with £1,000.

The 'tipping' fixtures are the evening meets on Tuesday and Thursday, June 21 and 30 and Friday, July 8 and registration is required by Monday, June 20 via www.newbury-racecourse.co.uk/tipster or by calling 01635 40015.
