Roach takes over Town

The 33-year old former Reading youngster joins Thatcham from Combined Counties League Hartley Wintney after leading them into third place in the Combined League last season and into the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
The

revealed this week that Roach was the front-runner for the job to succeed Gary Ackling at Thatcham, and his appointment has been welcomed by rival local managers Bobby Wilkinson at Hungerford and Newbury’s Steve Melledew.
“He’ll do a good job,” said Wilkinson.
Both have already sent their congratulations to Roach on getting the job.
