Rowing for silver and bronze

Ben Maxwell and Lars Koenig, members of the college’s first VIII, won the national schools’ pairs Danesfield Cup when breaking the course record, while the junior under 16 boys’ first VIII took the silver medal in their event after a close final in which they were pipped for the gold by Westminster School with King’s School, Chester third.
The girls’ crews won bronze medals in both the Championship Eights and Fours, the school’s first medals in the competition.
