Search for Hampshire football's unsung heroes
The FA and McDonald’s are backing the awards, which last year saw Kingsclere's Mark Tribe named as South East Coach of the Year for his dedication and commitment to grassroots football.
Tribe has been coaching teams for the Kingsclere Youth FC since 1997, having passed the Youth Coaching Award in 1999 and then Level One in 2003 with regular updates since.
His teams have regularly received Fairest Team Awards from the Peter Houseman Youth League and it was under his guidance that girls first played for the club, resulting in the club changing their name from Kingsclere Boys Football Club to Kingsclere Youth FC.
Nominations are open in eight categories for lcoal volunteers to be recognised for their achievements.
The award categories are: Outstanding Contribution to Community Football Award; Volunteer of the Year; Young Volunteer of the Year; Coach of the Year; FA Charter Standard Community Club; FA Charter Standard Development Club; FA Charter Standard Club of the Year; FA Charter Standard League of the Year.
