Crowds turn out in their numbers to watch the two days of the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival

Well folks, that's it! Two days of racing has come to a close and what a brilliant weekend once again at Newbury. Despite the wet weather on Saturday, crowds still turned out in their thousand's to enjoy the spectacle.

FAST RESULTS (3.35)

1) LADY BUTTONS (5/4F)

2) SHEAR ROCK (20/1)

3) DOITFORTHEVILLAGE (7/1)

It was the 5/2 favourite who wins for Adam Nicol and Philip Kirby and ends a fantastic two days of racing here at Newbury.

LADY BUTTONS wins the Handicap Steeple Chase after holding off a late challenge from Shear Rock.

Lady Buttons is favourite for this one at 5/2 ahead of Top Gamble, priced at 9/2.

The final race of the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival is just five minutes away. It's the Handicap Steeple Chase in memory of Tara Von Ihering.

SIZING TENNESSEE WINS THE LADBROKES TROPHY!

We're almost ready to go in the main event of the weekend. We'll have reaction and results when the race has concluded.

Thomas Patrick head's the betting for the Ladbrokes Trophy at 11/4 while Elegant Escape (5/1) and Ms Parfois are also in contention this afternoon.

Well, the wait is almost over. This is your 25 minute warning ahead of the Ladbrokes Trophy - which goes at 3pm.

Pauling held of the late challenges from Lisp and Mont Des Avaloirs to cross the line first and take the win.

GLOBAL CITIZEN! It's a second successive win for Ben Pauling in this race after winning last year with High Bridge.

In this race, Lambourn trainers Nicky Henderson and Oliver Sherwood have Whatswrongwithyou and What's Occurring respectively.

We're just five minutes away from the Intermediate Hurdle with Ballymoy currently favourite for this one at 3/1, ahead of Mont Des Avaloirs at 9/2.

Le Musee attempts to out do Champ, but it's second place for Nigel Hawke, while Speedo Boy (9/2JF) comes home in third.

CHAMP! It's another winner for Nicky Henderson as the 9/2JF wins after leading from the start.

The sun is trying to break through here at Newbury ahead of The Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle Race, which starts in five minutes.

The stars and celebrities have turned out at Newbury this afternoon as the Ladbrokes Trophy edges ever so closer.

A great run from Kapcorse and Bryony Frost who force their way through on the final few fences to take the win.

KAPCORSE wins at 8/1 for Paul Nicholls, his second winner of the day. In second is Brelan D'As (15/2) ahead of The Bay Birch (18/1) in third.

The Sir Peter O'Sullevan Memorial Handicap Steeple Chase is up next. Kayf Adventure is currently 10/3 favourite for this one ahead of Adrien Du Pont at 4/1.

2) ROCKY'S TREASURE (17/2)

After the race, the Lambourn trainer said: "I am really, really pleased because that is hard going for a horse first time out. We knew he would stay, I just wasn't sure if he was fit enough, it's a huge improvement."

SANTINI WINS FOR HENDERSON! It was a late rally from the favourite, but a brilliant charge after the final fence proves to be key.

We're almost good to go once more. SANTINI currently remains favourite for this one at 11/8 while Kilbricken Storm is 9/4. Can Henderson get his first win of the Carnival? Find out shortly...

Had chance to settle? Well, the next race is right around the corner as the John Francome Novices' Steeple Chase begins in 10 minutes.

Posh Trish had control from the off, jumped with ease and managed to hold any challenge from Lust For Glory.

It's a brilliant start for Paul Nicholls who get's his first win of the afternoon. Posh Trish was well backed and ended up 11/8 favourite before the race.

POSH TRISH wins the opening race of the day at Newbury and finishes ahead of Nico de Boinville and Lust For Glory.

AND WE'RE UNDERWAY! We'll have all the results and reaction once the first race has concluded.

Just two minutes until the opening race of the day begins. Lust For Glory currently favourite, ahead of Posh Trish - this could be a very exciting one.

We're almost ready to go on day two of the Winter Carnival here at Newbury. The crowds continue to make their way through the gates with around 14,000 expected to be here today.

NON RUNNERS: KEMBOY & GO CONQUER (3pm)

Lust For Glory currently heads the betting in the opening race of the afternoon, priced at 11/10 while Posh Trish is second favourite at 9/4.

We're just one hour from the opening race on day two of the Winter Carnival. Their's five entries for the Mares' Novices' including Nicky Henderson's Lust For Glory.

The rain continues to fall in Newbury this morning, but according to reports, it's due to stop shortly before the Ladbrokes Mares' Novices' Hurdle in just over an hours time.

We have another seven races taking place starting at 12.10 and ending at 15.35, including the prestigious Ladbrokes Trophy, which goes at 15.00.

SATURDAY

There's a further seven races taking place tomorrow, including the prestigious Ladbrokes Trophy (3pm) - certainly the highlight of the weekend.

Rockpoint almost had Vive Le Roi and Harry Bannister on the line, but they managed to hold on for the victory.

VIVE LE ROI wins the Handicap Hurdle, priced at 14/1 and finishes ahead of Rockpoint and De Name Evades Me.

Horses are heading to the start line for this final race of the afternoon.

Both Nicky Henderson and Oliver Sherwood have runners in this race with Dragon D'Estruval and Captain Peacock respectively.

We're approaching the final race at Newbury on the opening day of the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival. The Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle is last on the agenda.

And UNOWHATIMEANHARRY wins it! It's a winner for Barry Geraghty who finishes ahead of Clyne (14/1).

It's Unowhatimeanharry who is now favourite. Barry Geraghty will be hoping for more of the same, he had success in this race two years ago.

Sam Spinner and Wholestone are priced at 11/4 at the minute while Unowhatimeanharry is 3/1 - a lot of money going on the three.

Next up, it's the Ladbrokes Lond Distance Hurdle with a number of contenders in this one.

It's ASO (8/1) who eases to victory in this one after some brilliant jumping to beat Touch Kick (5/2) who finishes in second.

King Odyssey failed to finish the race after falling, but thankfully both jockey Adam Wedge and horse are okay.

The Ladbrokes Handicap Steeple Chase is underway now with King's Odyssey and Touch Kick both heading the betting for this one.

Warren Greatrex: "It was a great step up the ladder and her jumping was brilliant once again - it was a faultless round.

"It's always great to win here, Ladbrokes have done a fantastic job here and it's absolutely packed."

1) LA BAGUE AU ROI (5/4F)

2) TALKISCHEAP (10/1)

LostInTranslation was chasing in second, but a poor jump results in TalkIsCheap moving into that position.

LA BAGUE AU ROI wins the Novices' Steeple Chase! It's a winner for Lambourn trainer Warren Greatrex.

Spiritofthegames, Lostintranslation, Talkischeap and La Bague Au Roi will all be bidding to win the Steeple Chase, which starts in around five minutes.

It's a big one next! The Ladbrokes Novices' Chase (G2) with just four entries for this one.

FAST RESULT (1.20)

2) MR PUMBLECHOOK (11/1)

3) MORNING VICAR (3/1)

Scudamore held off a late challenge from MR PUMBLECHOOK (11/1) in second, while MORNING VICAR finishes in third place.

KATESON! It's the 5/4 favourite who wins the Novices' Hurdle for Tom Lacey and jockey Tom Scudamore.

Thankfully, Brennan is back on the saddle and ready to begin the Novices' Hurdle along with the other entries. The race is moments away.

The horses are heading towards the start of the race, but there's a little scare as Paddy Brennan has come off Duarigle (100/1).

It was the pair of Henderson and De Boinville who won this race last year with Santini - so the Seven Barrows trainer will be targeting more of the same.

Nico de Boinville and Henderson will be hoping MORNING VICAR (5/2) can cross the line first. But it's KATESON - a Tom Lacey trained horse - who is favourite.

Next up, in 20 minutes is the Ladbrokes Novices' Hurdle, with both Nicky Henderson and Warren Greatrex of Lambourn aiming for glory

FAST RESULT (12.45)

2) Kupatana (9/4F)

It's second place for Nicky Henderson and Kupatana who was favourite heading into this one. The Last Day was chasing in second but fell at the final fence.

KNOCKNANUSS at 11/2 cruises to victory, what an unbelievable run from Jamie Moore who took control right at the start of the race and never looked back

We're almost set for the second race of the afternoon. Kupatana is down to 5/2 now - must be heavily backed by the crowd here.

Just the seven horses running in the Steeple Chase with Nicky Henderson's KUPATANA (11/4) favourite to land this one.

12.30 - The racing comes thick and fast this afternoon with the Ladbrokes Steeple Chase taking place in just under 15 minutes.

BRIGHT FORECAST crosses the line in first place during the opening race at Newbury.

Strong Glance, favourite before the race, finished in 11th while Bang On Frankie came across in 5th.

Nico de Boinville came out of nowhere to beat Sevarano - trained by Oliver Sherwood of Upper Lambourn - to take the victory.

What a race! It's BRIGHT FORECAST who wins the opening race at Newbury, priced at 20/1 ahead of Sevarano and Dashel Drasher.

And we're underway! We'll have the race results once the opening race has ended.

It's Fergal O'Brien's STRONG GLANCE who currently heads the betting at 3/1 in this one, ahead of BANG ON FRANKIE at 4/1.

The horses are heading towards the start as the crowds emerge to place their final bets ahead of this opening race.
