Team Kennet's Stiles family affair





Team Kennet had several athletes compete in the New Year Games at Lee Valley Indoor Athletics Arena last weekend.

It was a family affair for the Stiles' as the quartet all ran in their respective 800m races.

Jonjo, competing in the vet 45 category, won his heat in 2.30.25, breaking the club's vet 45 800m indoor record in the process.

Meanwhile, under-15 Amber was third in her race, clocking 2.46.39 while Luke broke the under-13 boys indoor club record in 2.48.78.

Finally, Martine broke the vet 40 women's club record in style, coming home in 2.53.30.

Emerald Hill-Sawyer also impressed in the 800m, finishing third in her under-13 heat with a time of 2.50.12.

Hill-Sawyer then showed her versatility in the 200m, clocking 31.02 while Kennet teammate Zoe Allen finished in 30 seconds flat in the under-17 race.

Allen was also in action in the 60m sprint, running well for a lightning quick time of 8.72.
