Tadley Calleva announce the departure of first team manager Gareth Thomas




Tadley Calleva have today (Wednesday) announced that first team manager Gareth Thomas will step down from his role with immediate effect.

The club have had a disappointing start to the Combined Counties Premier Division North season, drawing one and losing eight of their nine games played.

Thomas joined the club in summer - taking over from former manager Adam Clark - but after a mutual agreement, the former Thatcham Town defender to end his time in charge.

Tadley chairman Sandy Russell, said: “It is with regret that, after a discussion with First Team Manager Gareth Thomas, we have mutually agreed to part ways.

“I am really sorry to see Gareth leave, as I fully appreciate the commitment and hard work he has put in to take our club forward.

“Unfortunately, due to several mitigating factors, results haven’t gone our way.

“I’d like to put on record my sincere thanks to Gareth for his professional and positive approach during his time with us and I wish him every success for the future.

“The club will now take the time necessary to find Gareth’s successor and will make a further announcement in due course.”

This weekend, Tadley host Ascot United in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase.
