Tadley Calleva chase an FA Cup first
Guildford at Barlows Park opener while Highmoor Ibis switch to Thatcham Town
TADLEY CALLEVA will be hunting the club’s first ever FA Cup first-ever FA CUp win when they tackle Guildford City in the first game of the season at Barlows Park.
Manager Danny Dolan watched the Combined Counties League side beat Farnham Town 2-1 on Wednesday night and admitted: “It’s going to be difficult we know. They’re from a higher league but it’s cup football and anything can happen on the day.”
Dolan has a full squad available to him, minus the injured Carl Self, with summer signing Ryan Stephens on stand-by to make his debut.
If a replay is needed, it will be at Guildford’s Spectrum ground on Wednesday.
Thatcham Town entertain Highmoor Ibis in their Extra Preliminary Round tie on Saturday and will also host a relay on Tuesday if needed.
The tie has been switched to Waterside Park as Highmoor’s Palmer Park home is pre-booked for athletics.
They have new signing Ian Davies available after he missed the opening two league games through suspension.
