TWO goals at the finish gave Sydenhams Wessex League Division One leaders a 3-1 home win over Tadley Calleva.

But the visitors earned the plaudits as their young side took an early lead and held that until well into the second period before conceding an equaliser.

Tadley’s link with Hungerford Town showed as they had academy players Chad Abrams, Kallum Thomas, Harry Monger and Conor Lynch in their squad, although it was a teenager of their own – Connor Thorne – who gave them the lead after only three minutes.

They held that until the 56th minute when Danny Cox levelled the scores, but were on the brink of a useful point when Jordy Parker scored in the 90th minute, and Jamie Mansell added a third in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
