Tadley's new date for Vase replay

Wessex League side travel to Newport on Saturday

TADLEY Calleva’s FA Vase third-round replay against Newport (IOW) has been rearranged for this Saturday.
The sides drew 2-2 after extra time at Barlow’s Park last Saturday, and the scheduled replay on the Isle of Wight on Tuesday night was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Tadley were due to face another Isle of Wight side – East Cowes Vics – in the Sydenhams Wessex League on Saturday.
But now that game will be rearranged and Tadley will travel south with a full squad, confident of finishing the job at the second attempt.
They came within minutes of beating the higher-ranked Newport on Saturday, only for a late equaliser to dash their hopes.
But manager Danny Dolan believes his side can overcome Newport and book a place in the fourth round for the first time in the club’s history.
The winners of Saturday’s tie will entertain Kent side Ashford United, who are currently third in the Southern Counties East League.
