Mitch collects prize as Poustie delivers




Team Kennet held their annual presentation evening for the 2022 Road Running League last week.

The club operates a championship based on points from UK Athletics certified races over distances between five kilometres and a marathon.

Mitch Poustie enjoyed a fine year and won the men's Division One, ahead of Simon Gale in second and George Westall in third.

Cheryl Angell triumphed in the ladies Division One following a consistently impressive campaign, edging out Petra Kubesova in second and Katie Reynolds in third.

Meanwhile Bart Kuijten and Simon Hockaday shared the men's Division Two crown, with Richard Dunbabin completing the top three.

Three of Berkshire's best young female athletes made up the ladies Division Two winning trio. Amber Stiles was crowned champion, Charlotte Bailey was second and Emerald Hill-Sawyer was third.

Andy Colling celebrated winning the men's Division Three, while Casey Warwick finished second and Emiliano Espinar completed the top three.
