Team Kennet Quadkids back to winning ways
Team Kennet Quadkids started the seaon in style by winning the first round of the Oxfordshire Young Athletes League at Horspath on Sunday.
TK totalled 1,836 points to finish well clear of Oxford City (1,602), Radley (1,377), Witney (1,346), Bicester (1,283), Abingdon (1,140), White Horse (838) and Banbury (821).
Ella Larkin took top spot in the under-9 girls, clocking an impressive 2.13 in the 600m, while her Vortex (19.74m) was also excellent.
Maisie McCurtin was third overall, with her best event being the long jump (2.53m).
Evie Kearney was the club’s third best scorer, with her Vortex the best event, with a throw of 15.78.
The under-9 boys came fourth, with Joshua Kuijten sixth overall and Edward Shearer ninth.
And both the under-11 girls and boys came third in their matches.
Oscar Larkin was best placed in seventh, with his best event being the 600m in 2.03.
Isla Ladds led the way for the girls section in 13th, and Jessie McCurtin was next best scorer.
