Thatcham hope for continuation of Clark form
James Clark scored the winning goals in both of Thatcham Town's games last week
THATCHAM TOWN will be hoping that James Clark can continue his double match-winning form this week, especially if co-striker Charlie Mpi is recalled by Maidenhead United.
Mpi has scored seven times during his spell with Thatcham, although he missed out on Tuesday night's win over second in the table Sholing at Waterside Park.
Clark netted the last-gasp winner in that game, as he did against Bishops Cleeve last Saturday and now manager Gary Ackling is hoping for more of the same when Paulton Rovers viti Town on Saturday.
"His goal against Sholing was a fantastic strike and a real goal of the season effort," said Ackling.
Marc Green also came through that game, his first full appearance following a long-term injury, and Sean Cook is also back from suspension to give Ackling striking options.
Thatcham also have a Tuesday night game away to North Leigh.
