Thatcham in promotion showdown

Debutants Martin Butler and Charlie Cox made their mark with hat-tricks apiece as Thatcham take on their Slough-based rivals whose 23-18 win in the first meeting of the sides last November has helped them into a six point lead in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier Division table.
The league champions will be promoted automatically, with a play-off spot also available, and Thatcham will be hoping to make the jump into a league that will see them join neighbours Tadley, only one division below Newbury Blues next season.
