Thatcham look to shake off setback
After crashing to a 3-0 defeat at Bishops Cleeve, Thatcham Town will look to bounce back against Bideford
THATCHAM TOWN crashed 3-0 at Bishops Cleeve on Wednesday night and will be looking to shake off that setback when they entertain Bideford on Saturday.
Two penalties by Richard Mansell and an Elliot Kennedy goal settled the result for Thatcham, who had gone into the game in confident mood with manager Gary Ackling having a full-strength squad at his disposal.
"Our squad is probably as strong as it's ever been since I've been at Thatcham with 18 players available," he said
That included new signing Robbie Sadler from Hungerford, which allowed Ackling to allow Australian Paul Orgad to go out on loan to Zamaretto League rivals Abingdon United.
Newbury will entertain Farnborough Reserves on Saturday, a week after beating the same side 4-2 on the road in the Uhlsport Hellenic League.
