Mitchell was charged with making a dangerous tackle on Tadley’s Tom O’Byrne that went unpunished by referee Pete Jacobs.
But the player admitted the offence to a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel that met at the Reading’s Holiday Inn this week and was suspended from playing for seven weeks starting from September 2 and will be free to resume playing on October 21.
