Thatcham Town continue pre-season preparations
Thatcham Town continued to step up their pre-season preparations this week ahead of their first competitive match on August 6, an FA Cup extra preliminary round tie at home to Wessex League side Horndean.
Thatcham beat Wiltshire outfit Royal Wootton Bassett Town 2-0 last week at the Stacatruc Stadium before losing 2-1 to Didcot Town on Friday night.

This week, Thatcham announced that midfielder Alex Miller has signed a new deal for the upcoming season.
Miller made 36 appearances last season, scoring four goals, and has impressed Yashwa Romeo in pre-season.
Thatcham will have to replace the goals of last season’s top scorer Dan Fosu, who signed for Scottish Championship side Arbroath.
The attacking midfielder scored 12 goals in 33 appearances last season for the Kingfishers.
Thatcham begin the new league season with a home game against Guernsey, who finished 14th last term, on August 13.
Thatcham were scheduled to make the trip to Footes Lane but due to issues with the pitch, the fixtures have been switched meaning Thatcham will welcome the Green Lions to the Stacatruc in two weekends time for a 2pm kick-off and will then travel to Guernsey in January 2023.
Season tickets have also gone on sale at the Stacatruc.
Adult tickets are priced at £140, which amounts to a £50 saving, while concessions are £80 and kids £25.
