Ladies' losing streak continues with defeat at Reading
Newbury and Thatcham Hockey Club Ladies' miserable start to their South Central Women's Division 1 North season continued at the weekend with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Reading 3rd.
The result leaves Newbury one place off the foot of the table in 11th, having lost all of their first three matches.

The ladies fourth team maintained their unbeaten start to their South Central Women's Division 3 Thames with a 2-1 win at South Berkshire 4th thanks to goals from Paula Morgan and Yasmin Mateus.
There was disappointment for the men's fourth team, who suffered a second successive South Central Men's Division 1 Thames defeat, losing 4-1 to Eastcote 5th.
Zach Pool scored for Newbury in a game overshadowed by some controversial umpiring decisions as the visitors slipped to seventh.
