Title swoop by swimmers

Jezzard won the 400 individual medley crown and his team-mate Zara Ryan the junior equivalent as Newbury’s 34 qualifiers claimed 37 medals and 49 rosettes for top eight finishes amidst numerous new personal best times.
Record-breaker Zara Ryan smashed four age group records in the 13 years section, breaking bests in the 50, 100 and 200 metres butterfly and 400 individual medley and winning eight of her 12 events, also pocketing two silver and one bronze award.
Jake Jezzard's gold in the 400m medley was followed by success in the 15/16 years 200m freestyle in which he broke the two-
minute mark for the first time with a time of 1:58.05.
He went on to secure silver medals in the 200 individual medley and 100m backstroke and a bronze in the 200, butterfly.
