HUNGERFORD TOWN manager Bobby Wilkinson has signed a new two-year contract with the aim of taking the club towards Conference League football.

The club’s new executive committee met for four hours this week to outline future plans, the first of which was to reward its manager, who has taken the club upward in each of his six seasons at Bulpit Lane.

“The club is moving forward and I’ve put pen to paper,” he said. “The club is in a really good place and this makes a statement that we are as one and we are a team and I’m really pleased that the comittee and board are trying to do the right things.”

Hungerford now go on to two difficult away games, with a trip to Cirencester Town on Saturday and then a top of the table showdown with league leaders Poole Town on Tuesday night.

Added to that is another away game the following Saturday when Hungerford will go to Corinthian Casuals to play their FA Trophy First Round tie after Casuals beat Grays Athletic 1-0 in their midweek replay.

Only the suspended Scott Rees misses the Cirencester trip.
