Team Kennet battle hard in Basingstoke with under-9 girls confirmed as league winners
Team Kennet Juniors took part in the third of the Destination Basingstoke Cross Country League on Sunday at Down Grange organised by Fleet.
Going into this match, the under-9 girls were top of the league and a win would seal them as league winners going in to the last match.
They made sure they packed up the front well, Ella Larkin led the way to also secure herself a top two finish at end of the season by coming second place again.
Then the TK girls packed in for sixth place Isla Ladds, seventh place Ella McDonald and eighth place Penelope Lyth to ensure a team victory and for the club.
The girls are now unbeaten in any competition for nearly three years and to cap it off, Milly Davies was next home in 15th and Gracie Cooke was 16th.
The under-13 boys are also pushing to win the team title as they secured a team victory by just one point.
Elliot Murphy was clubs first runner home in third place, moving him in to third overall in the individual standings.
Ethan Kuijten was next in sixth, followed by Max Adams in seventh and Aaron Carter in 14th for the team, while William McDonald also ran and came 16th.
The under-9 Boys also secured a third team finish with Malik Gaye coming in second place, keeping him as the second overall individual.
Elsewhere, Joshua Kuijten was next home in 22nd followed by Alfie Cronk in 25th.
The under-11 girls were also the third placed team, led By Anna Hall who has secured second place overall in the individuals.
Ella Cronk was next in 15th, followed by Harriet Saunders in 21st and then Amelia Rehill in 31st.
The biggest field of the day, and with Team Kennet Numbers, was the under-11 boys race.
The under-11s were placed 3rd in the teams.
Noah Lauder-Clarke was ninth and just behind was Oscar Larkin in 10th, while Ben Daley was next in 14th and Harry smith made up the team with a 17th place finish.
The B team was led by Frank Edwards (18th), Elliot Bell (26th), Luke Stiles (28th) and Henry Bell (30th), which saw them finish in seventh.
Next home was Joshua Ladds in 31st and Rueben Kuijten in 43rd.
The under-13 girls duo of Amber Stiles and Leilah Gaye came home in 15th and 16th respectively, while in the under-15 boys, Isaac Mitcham was fourth and under-15 girls athlete Olivia Smith finished fifth.
