Wanderers may come to town

Berks and Bucks Cup smei-fional may switch to Hungerford in a repeat of 1982 final

WYCOMBE WANDERERS may switch their forthcoming Berks and Bucks Senior Cup semi-final with Hungerford Town to Bulpit Lane after Tuesday night's 2-0 win over Burnham took Hungerford into the last four for the first time in years.

Cup holders Wanderers have a home league date with Leyton Orient on the likely cup date of Tuesday, March 6, so their second string may be sent instead to Hungerford.

It would be a repeat of the 1982 final when Hungerford won the trophy for the only time in their history, beating Wanderers 1-0 at Wokingham, the last time a West Berkshire side has featured in the final.

Hungerford won through on Tuesday night with second half goals from Jamie Gosling and Ray Spence, his first for the club.
