Come and build the People's Tower

Sunday 2pm – 7pm
The Rise of the Tower

Monday 4pm
The Fall of the Tower

Join acclaimed French artist Olivier Grossetête and his team to create a giant cardboard replica of Donnington Castle in Newbury Market Place on Sunday. Assembled without cranes or machines, and with only human power and cardboard boxes galore, this incredible temporary castle will also be the focus of a dramatic and hugely enjoyable demolition the following day.

Olivier can only create this amazing structure with your help. Join the team that builds this incredible structure in a series of fun workshops, help with construction in Market Place on the Sunday or just come along to watch the dramatic rise and fall of the tower.

Supported by Greenham Common Trust and Arts Council England, The People’s Tower, is the latest free event in the Corn Exchange’s outdoor events programme
