Chance to climb aboard a fire engine at half term open day




Reading fire station opens its doors this afternoon

LIVE demonstrations will be part of a family fun-filled and informative half term activity throughout this afternoon(Wed), at a Reading fire station.

Realistic demonstrations will including releasing a ‘casualty’ from a simulated road traffic collision and a hot oil display unit, with chance to test firefighters' life saving equipment, explore the fire engines and squirt water from the hose reels, along with ice cream treats, and chance to purchase items in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.

Whitley Wood Fire Station, in Whitley Wood Road, RG2 8FS, will be open for visitors this afternoon (Wed October 28), between 1pm and 4pm
