Great Thatcham Santa Run gathering momentum

SANTA Clauses are coming to Thatcham town!

The Great Thatcham Santa Fun Run will return on Sunday, December 18, helping to raise money for numerous charities.

Thatcham Rotary Club is running the event for the fourth year and supporting the Rosemary Appeal – a £4.5m campaign by the Newbury and Thatcham Hospital Building Trust to build a renal dialysis unit and advanced cancer care centre at the West Berkshire Community Hospital.

The club will also donate money to other local charities and runners can raise money for their own causes.

The 5km run starts in The Broadway at 11am and heads down High Street and Green Lane; then along Lower Way; down Ilkley Way; up The Moors and Station Road and back to the Broadway.

All entrants receive their own free Santa outfit to keep.

To enter, complete an online application form at http://rotarythatcham.org.uk/id15.html or print off an entry form and take it to the White Hart public house in High Street or the Kennet Leisure Centre.

Standard entry costs £15, under 18s entry is £10 and children under eight can run for £7.
