Sinkhole on M4 near Hungerford causes severe delays

Multiple lanes along the M4 have been closed following the discovery of a sinkhole.

Workers found the sinkhole during routine maintenance, and this has resulted in the closure of lanes 2 and 3 eastbound, and lane 3 westbound, between Junctions 15 and 14.

There are already delays of up to 50 minutes, with 4.5 miles of queuing traffic, and the event is not expected to clear before 1pm.

UPDATE (13/11/2021): There are currently queues of around 20 minutes in the affected area, and the incident is not expected to clear until around 6pm.
