It's the Great Thatcham Santa Run on Sunday!

Dress up and run 5km around the town to raise money for charity

THERE’S still time to enter the Great Thatcham Santa Run, organised by Thatcham Rotary Club.

Last year’s jolly joggers raised £3,200, which was split between Newbury Hospital Renal Care, Newbury Cancer Care, Thatcham Relief in Need, The Old Bluecoat School and Thatcham Junior Wardens Adventure Training courses.

Members of Thames Valley Kings wheelchair basketball team will be pushing rather than walking the route, which has been modified for their use.

Entry forms are available from Kennet Leisure Centre and The White Hart, High Street, or at www.rotarythatcham.org.uk

Standard entry fee is £15, students aged under 18 £10, and children under eight £7. All entrants receive a free Santa suit to wear and keep.

The Thatcham Santa Run will be held at 11am on Sunday, December 13.

The run starts in the Broadway and takes in High Street, the A4, Green Lane, Churchgate, Lower Way to the lakes and back.
