ST ANDREW’S School is an established co-educational day and flexi boarding school for children aged three to 13, set amid 54 acres of beautiful Berkshire woodland.

From September 2022, St Andrew’s Nursery is accepting children in the term that they turn three for full days, from 8.30am to 3.30pm, or half days, five days a week, with after school care until 5pm.

Children learn in light, airy classrooms, surrounded by their own outdoor adventure playground, mud kitchen, giant sand pit and space for riding bikes and trikes.

The teachers get to know every child, supporting them through the Early Years syllabus and introducing specialist lessons in French, PE, dance, music and STEM, when they are ready.

The low pupil to staff ratio ensures that children thrive in all areas and develop the confidence to ‘have a go’.

Come rain or shine, Nursery children take daily trips to the woods.

Every day brings a new adventure, balancing on logs, climbing mountains, hiding in the magic tree, swinging from branches, carrying sticks, kicking leaves, or watching the seasons change.

New for the summer term is a wooden headquarters in the Nursery Woodland, from which children can explore the grounds, and develop those crucial life skills of communication, collaboration, problem- solving, and independence.

Children in Reception and beyond continue their outdoor learning at Forest School under the watchful eye of our Forest School teachers, beneath a canopy, around a warming campfire.

Under the expert leadership of Head of Pre-Prep, Mrs Fiona Armstrong, the school’s enthusiastic and experienced staff, foster children’s natural curiosity and independence, which creates happy and confident little learners.
