A rotary club has announced the date for one of its biggest charity events of the year.

And the club’s website is now open for participants to register.

Around 325 runners competed in this year’s event in January, which raised £4,200 for numerous humanitarian causes.

Next year, all profits from the race will be shared to Parkinson’s UK and other charitable causes supported by the club.

The Woodcote 10k, originally conceived by South Chilterns Lions Club, attracts both club and non-affiliated runners.

It is again being organized by Jeremy Wilson, with the support of more than 20 club members.

The race starts at 10.15am at Woodcote Village Hall, Oxfordshire and spans back roads, woodland and countryside — boasting quite the challenge.

Please visit https://www.woodcote10k.org.uk/ to register and find further details.

Rotarians will also be supporting the First Walk for Parkinson’s Henley-on-Thames, starting at Henley Showground at 11am on Sunday, October 8.
