Thames Water repairs leaking pipe along The Moors in Thatcham

Travel restrictions apply whilst Thames Water repairs a water leak in Thatcham.

A water pipe has been leaking by The Moors Playground for at least a month now — close to where a similar leak occurred outside the Ilkley Way junction in July.

Three-way traffic light control measures have been in place since Friday (May 24) to enable TW to conduct repairs, expected to be completed by tomorrow (Tuesday).

The road recently opened after resurfacing between April 15-27.

TW has been approached for comment and is yet to confirm the cause of the leak, whether repairs will involve damaging the re-laid road and — perhaps most crucially — that it is only water leaking from the pipe.
