Wasing Road in Brimpton to close to clear blockage
A village road will be closed in July to clear a blockage.
Wasing Road in Brimpton will be closed on Thursday, July 13, between 9am and 5pm between its junction with the unnamed road from Wasing Road to Wasing Lane and its junction with Brimpton Lane.
The purpose of the closure is to allow Gigaclear to locate and clear a blockage.
An alternative route will be available via the unnamed road from Wasing Road to Wasing Lane, Shalford Hill, Back Lane, Brimpton Lane and vice versa.
The diversion will be signed on site.
Access to the Wasing Estate will be impeded for those travelling east from Brimpton, who will now be required to travel south via Brimpton Lane.
But the closure is not expected to affect travel south from Woolhampton, west from Aldermaston and north from Brimpton Common.
The closure is not expected to clash with any of the estate’s upcoming events.
Residential access will be maintained, but blue light access will not be permitted.
